- The amount you’re sending is either converted into local currency or US dollars,
- You’re limited to US$ 9 999 per transaction, and US$ 20 000 per month
- Money not collected within 45 days will need to be claimed from MoneyGram
- Exchange Control regulations apply

- Visit your nearest in-branch forex outlet
- Present your ID (or passport if not an SA citizen)
- Provide proof of residence not older than 3 months (but only if you don't bank with us, or if you haven't yet updated your new address details for your account with us)*
- Complete and submit your Exchange Control documentation (available in-branch)
- Complete the MoneyGram form
- Give your reference number to the recipient
- Funds sent to digital wallets will reflect immediately
*If you're not an SA citizen, you don't need to provide proof of residence
- Get your reference number from the sender
- Complete the MoneyGram form
- Visit your nearest in-branch forex outlet
- Present your ID (or passport if not an SA citizen) and reference number
- Your name on the transfer record must be an exact match to your name as it appears on your ID or passport
- Provide proof of residence not older than 3 months (but only if you don't bank with us, or if you haven't yet updated your new address details for your account with us)*
- You may need to answer a verification question
- Ask for cash, or have the amount deposited into your bank account with us
*If you're not an SA citizen, you don't need to provide proof of residence
- Transfer fees are covered by the sender
- Fees are based on the amount you’re sending
