Our Everywhere You Are chat service is available to anyone with a Prestige, Professional, Private, Signature or Business Current Account.
How to set up our Facebook Messenger service
- Follow us on Facebook @StandardBankInstantMessaging
- Start a conversation, (by saying ‘Hi’, for example)
- A secure USSD session will open, prompting you to answer questions so we can verify that it’s you we’re talking to
- You’ll be redirected to your chosen instant messaging platform
- Read and accept the T&Cs
- You’re now ready to start chatting with your banker

WeChat service

How to set up our WeChat service
- Log in to WeChat
- In contacts, select ‘official accounts’
- Select ‘add an account’
- Type in Standard Bank and select search
- Select Standard Bank Instant Messaging
- Start a conversation, (by saying ‘Hi’, for example)
- A secure USSD session will open, prompting you to answer questions so we can verify that it’s you we’re talking to
- You’ll be redirected to your chosen instant messaging platform
- Read and accept the T&Cs
- You’re now ready to start chatting with your banker
