Career highlights

• Sharon Taylor joined the Group in 1991 and has held various senior executive positions in Human Capital.
• She served as the head of Human Resources for Commercial Banking, Corporate and Investment Banking in SA, Global Investment Banking and The Standard Bank of South Africa before taking on the role of group head, Human Capital in 2014. 
• This role changed to chief people and culture officer with effect from 1 January 2021.
• Sharon was named chief Human Resources Officer of the Year for 2023 at the CHRO South Africa Awards, where she was also the recipient of the HR and Technology award and the Learning and Development award.  In 2019, she won the Strategy and Leadership award and the Transformation and Empowerment award.
