Our grads get to embark on an exciting Technology learning journey in Johannesburg at our Rosebank and Simmonds offices. We provide practical exposure, on-the-job learning, coaching and mentoring and a bespoke learning and development plan to set our grads up for success and integrate them into the world of work. Graduates are exposed to various technologies including Cloud, Web, Digital and Automation on various banking platforms and channels.

The Cloud graduate programme will provide the graduates with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and skills in cloud computing, preparing them for a career in the rapidly growing field of cloud technology. The program will include training, mentorship, and real-world workloads to help graduates develop their expertise and kickstart their careers in the cloud industry.

The biggest cloud computing service providers in the world include Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure. Cloud computing is the delivery of on demand computing services over the internet to offer faster innovation, flexible resources and economies of scale.
Standard Bank has partnered with Amazon Web Services(AWS) and Microsoft Azure to be our cloud computing service providers. We need you to be part of our cloud enablement engine in Standard Bank.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting in the design, implementation, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure.
- Supporting the deployment and management of cloud-based applications and services.

SAP Platform Business Unit provides a SAP Platform support in terms of providing Application and Database availability & support to the consuming Business Units, namely Everyday Banking, Payments, BCB, CIB, SBSA Offshore. The SAP Platform also provides Security and manage access on the SAP Applications to ensure that we are Always Secure and that we meet the LAM, and PAM standards. The graduate programme assists us with upskilling the youth and absorb them onto the practical working environment.

The Security team will provide a space where young people engage with each other and our leadership team, through peer-to-peer, conversation and experiential coaching and mentoring to support the development of critical skills needed for the Bank. At the end of the programme, graduate will be able to:

Engage, consult and influence working groups and business areas to understand the required client process for easily accessible and simple processes, that require the design and operation of single or already integrated systems, support the client in all related information security processes and products and plan accordingly.

Credit Account Management Systems
Credit Account Management Systems is the area in Credit that deals with the credit management of accounts that we have provided Credit to. In this area we use behavioural scoring applications to determine the Credit rating/score of the customer that we have extended credit to.
Credit Collections
Credit Collections is the area in Credit that deals with the collection of outstanding money from Customers that have fallen behind on their credit facilities.
In both instances the expectation is that the graduate learner will develop the skills required to perform the key responsibilities mentioned below.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan test scenarios, acceptance tests, test criteria.
- Identify complex, risky, positive and negative test scenarios.
- Document all test scenarios and test cases.
- Prepare data requirements and test data availability for test case execution.
- Ensure that integration testing is done to ensure that the product works end-to-end.
- Conduct regression testing.
- Document all necessary actions in the applicable reporting/management tools, eg. JIRA, Confluence.
- Attend applicable meetings (Inception, Iteration Planning Meeting, Grooming, retrofit session, Defect meetings, and Daily SCRUMS (Stand-ups).

If your application is unsuccessful for your preferred programme, but you meet the criteria for another, we'll invite you to a video interview for that programme.
Candidates that are successful at the interview stage will be asked to complete psychometric assessments. The successful candidates will then proceed to the next step.
The selected candidates will then be invited to an Assessment Center or a final round interview with business depending on the Programme needs.
