Be Part of The Arts

Step into a world where creativity knows no bounds, where every brushstroke, every note, and every step tells a story. The National Arts Festival, South Africa's oldest and most prestigious arts extravaganza, is gearing up to mark its historic 50th edition in 2024, alongside the remarkable 40-year partnership with Standard Bank.

Picture this: an immersive experience spanning over 11 days in the enchanting city of Makhanda, where streets pulse with the rhythm of theatre, dance, music, and more. From the captivating allure of visual art to the cutting- edge innovations of digital arts, from the laughter-inducing antics of comedy to the soul-stirring narratives of film, the festival presents an eclectic mix of artistic expressions like no other.

It's not just a festival; it's a vibrant tapestry of creativity, a melting pot of cultures, and a showcase of the finest talent from across the country and beyond. With each performance, exhibition, and installation, the National Arts Festival invites audiences to embark on a journey of discovery, to be entertained, delighted, and provoked in equal measure.

The National Arts Festival isn't just an event; it's a national treasure, a testament to the power of imagination and the enduring spirit of creativity.
