Our Independently Managed Portfolios(IMP) are based on discretionary management agreement whereby clients delegate the day-to-day investment decisions and implementation of their chosen investment strategy to Stanbic IBTC Asset management Limited while retaining the full beneficial ownership of their investments. These portfolios are bespoke and tailored to meet each client’s investment requirements taking into consideration their individual preferences and investment objectives.
Our services are highly personalized. Our Portfolio Managers will initially meet with you to discuss your investment objectives, then, in consultation with you and your advisers (where applicable), we will agree on a core investment strategy. The Portfolio Manager will then build a portfolio tailored to meet your investment objectives and requirements and actively manage it going forward.
A client can transfer an existing portfolio to Stanbic IBTC Asset Management Limited and these will be incorporated into the client’s individual portfolio and professionally managed.
In addition to quarterly and annual reports, the Portfolio Manager will meet with you on a regular basis to discuss the portfolio(s) and explain any changes to it. Reporting is available online 24/7 via our secure portal.

Investments will only be in assets that are consistent with the Investment Policy Statement that is unique to each investor, reflecting their specific financial position, short and long-term investment needs, risk tolerance, and other special circumstances. - The Interests of the Client and Portfolio Manager are aligned - The decisions made on every portfolio will directly affect the compensation earned by the Portfolio Manager.
