Efe is currently the Executive Director, Investment Management at Stanbic IBTC Asset Management Limited.
Prior to his appointment as Executive Director, Investment Management at Stanbic IBTC Asset Management Limited, Efe was the Head, Risk Management, and Internal Controls at Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers Limited from October 2019 to February 2023.

He served as the Head of Investment Management for Stanbic IBTC Asset Management Limited, a position he held from June 2017 to October 2019 where he was responsible for providing investment strategies and tactical investment solutions. Some of his key achievements in Stanbic IBTC Asset Management Limited are driving the use of Smart Beta investing algorithm which has outperformed conventional investment strategies, deployment of the Investment Policy Statement for profiling clients, establishment of an in-house security valuation model, the Equity Strategist Role within the Wealth business amongst others.

Efe also served as Head, Equity and Institutional Mandates in Stanbic IBTC Asset Management Limited from 2010 to 2017 and Country Head, Private Equity for Stanbic IBTC Bank Plc. from 2007 to 2008.

He is also a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Stockbroker and a Charter holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst Institute (CFA) and the Certified Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) Association with over 16 years of post-graduate experience.

Efe holds a master’s degree in Financial Analysis and Fund Management from the University of Exeter, United Kingdom, a certificate in Investment Strategies and Portfolio Management from Wharton Business School and a first degree in Accounting from Babcock University.
