Michael Power recently retired as Ninety One’s Global Strategist after 22 years, continues in a consulting capacity. Michael spent his entire career in finance, focusing on global investment, Africa, and the Middle East.
- He has worked in South Africa, London and Kenya for Anglo American, Rothschild & Sons, Barings Asset Management and HSBC.
- His current focus is on geo-economics, the 21st century as an Asia-centric century, and the global implications thereof.
- He spent 12 years in Bahrain and has a particular affinity for the Middle East, which led to studies on Middle Eastern politics and economics at Oxford, and oil at Tufts.
