Ms. Sabira Thakker was appointed to the Board as an Independent Non-Executive Director on 23rd July 2024. 

Ms. Thakker has had an extensive career as a corporate banker with over 25 years of banking experience. She has previously worked with Equity Bank Kenya Limited, Citigroup and Trade Bank. Ms. Thakker has also undertaken financial services training and consultancy as well as business development.  

Ms. Thakker is a thought leader and change agent, deeply passionate and committed to the growth and advancement of the financial services sector. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry and Chemistry from the University of Nairobi and has undertaken a number of professional courses and trainings.

 She also serves as an Independent Non-Executive Director of Stanbic Bank Kenya Limited.
