The Stanbic Jazz festival is an annual event that takes place at Levy Business Park in Lusaka, Zambia. The event began in 2014 and featured some of Africa’s finest musicians, such as Hugh Masekela, Oliver Mtukudzi, Zonke and a host of internationally renowned local artists such as Pompi, Scarlet, James Sakala.
The 2015 event was built on the success of the maiden event that took place in 2014. The finest international and local musicians performing at the event promised to bring you a night of excitement and soulful music.
In 2015, the one and only American smooth jazz/jazz fusion guitarist, Earl Klugh came to Lusaka.
Other connoisseurs of the music industry such as the legendary Oliver Mutukudzi with his eminently dubbed Tuku music, and Mi Casa, the famed House band from South Africa, were the co-headline acts that performed at the 2015 Stanbic Jazz Festival.
Zambian authentic acts such as Abel Chungu, Afro Red, Jaggari Chanda, Scarlet, and Kiki were the local highlights at the event.
