The Windhoek Jazz Festival, which will be held on Saturday, 4 November, will see some of the best musical acts both locally and internationally, converge at the Hage Geingob Stadium to entertain the masses.

“Music not only unites the nation but also as we know our artists are enabled to share their talent with the nation and through their hard work they can contribute to the socio-economic development of our country. More than that it creates an ambiance of euphoria for all, as such I would like to urge all music lovers to join us for the Windhoek Jazz Festival this weekend,” Standard Bank’s PR and Communication Manager Surihe Gaomas-Guchu said.

In August this year the Bank once again recommitted itself to the event with a sponsorship of N$450 000.

“Headlined by international artists such as Ringo, Mi Casa and Mané Fernandes, while local artists such as Erna Chimu, Liz Ehlers, Suzy Eises, Big Ben, Major 7 and William Peterson, will be the supporting acts, we can guarantee a show like no other that is sure to tantalize the senses. It is an event not to be missed,” she urged.

Gaomas-Guchu reiterated that music has the ability to touch the souls of many and helps people manifest their unspoken desires. Additionally, she pointed out that it is capable of breaking boundaries to unite people from different background and cultural heritage.

“I must stress that we are very happy to be part of the lifestyle event that seeks to not only entertain but also provide a platform for local artiste to showcase their talent annually. We have some of the best musicians on the continent and we need to provide opportunities for them to not only exhibit their talent but also get to interact with their counterparts from neighbouring countries,” she noted.

Tickets are selling at N$250 and are available at Events Today. Attendees are urged to bring their camping chairs and fleece blankets to enjoy a night of wonder.
